This course is not just for the more youthful of us.  Last year I was made redundant and decided to take the opportunity to qualify and work as a ski instructor.  I looked at lots of courses available and came across the course with Ski Instructor Academy.  Not only was is significantly cheaper that others on offer but it also offered the chance to be Austrian qualified.  After speaking to Wouter, I realised that it was not a course where the organisers were not doing it to get rich and that it was very well put together and thought out.  So early last November I arrived in Kaprun and met all my fellow trainees.  The accommodation was good (a lot better than you will get when you are working as an instructor) and the location was great.  We trained Mon-Fri and it typically involved 1/2 day own improvement and 1/2 day learning the curriculum for the exams.  The trainers were really really bloody good and after the course i really did feel I have learnt so much and had such a good time.  Most people passed although not all of us in the German part of the theory exam so make sure you pay attention in German lessons - which are fun.  Post the course I got my guaranteed job in a ski school and worked the season as a ski instructor and lived a long held dream.  I guarantee all the other options you look at will be more expensive and won't be better!
